On arrival at Guwahati Airport. Transfer to Shillong – called ‘Scotland of the East”, the capital of British-created Assam until 1972 – and is now the capital and hill station of Meghalaya, also known as “The Abode of Clouds”, one of the smallest states in India. En-route visit Umiam Lake: a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. Created by damming the Umiam River in the early 1960s. The principal catchment area of the lake and dam is spread over 220 square km. Stop for lunch en-route. Post Lunch continue with the journey. On reaching, complete the check in formalities. Rest of the evening free at leisure. Overnight stay at Shillong.

Enjoy early breakfast and then set out on an excursion trip to Cherrapunjee – It is the traditional capital of the Nongkhlaw hima (Khasi tribal chieftainship) known as Sohra or Churra. Visit – Dwan Syiem View Point: located at the very start of Sohra tourist circuit, is one of the most prominent attraction of the place. A viewpoint has made a viewpoint point where tourist can enjoy & appreciate the beauty of the valley at a glance. Noh Kalikai Falls: Is the tallest plunge waterfall in India. Its height is 340 metres. The waterfall is located in the Indian state of Meghalaya, near Cherrapunjee, one of the wettest places on Earth.
Post lunch visit – Mawsmai Caves: Narrow, rugged limestone cave with a dimly-lit access point, low overhangs & often uneven footing. Seven Sister Falls. Eco Park: The park is home to several hybrid and indigenous orchids in the Green House donated by Shillong Agri-Horticultural Society. The park houses children play area, monoliths, viewpoints, foot bridges, water conservation structures, and many shelters. There is a railing throughout the park which guides the way too. Later drive back to Shillong. Overnight stay at Shillong.

After early breakfast drive to – Mawlynnong – “Asia’s Cleanest Village”. Mawlynnong offers many interesting sights such as the Living Root Bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another small rock.
Mawlynnong – Dawki Excursion (Approx (Approx 30 kms / 01 Hour & 20 Minutes)
Post lunch visit – Dawki – A small town near India Bangladesh border. Enjoy breath taking view of the Umangot River. Evening drive back to Shillong. Stay overnight at your hotel in Shillong. Late evening drive back to Shillong (Approx 79 Kms / 3 Hours 15 Minutes). Overnight stay at Shillong.

After breakfast, check out and visit – Don Bosco Museum (Sunday closed): Museum focusing on local indigenous people & culture, with tools, clothing & artefact’s on display. Ward’s Lake: is popular for short garden walks & boating. The Botanical Garden offers plethora of indigenous and exotic plants & rare collection of orchids. Botanical Garden: Small botanical garden along Ward’s Lake showcasing native trees & plants & rare orchids. Lady Hydari Park: Is a Japanese style landscaped park endowed with stretches of roses & exquisite flowers. One of the largest Golf courses in Asia is an 18-hole Golf Course is charted amidst a surging valley full of thick pine groves & rhododendron trees. Spend the evening in the splendid arena!
Post lunch transfer to Kaziranga – The home of “One Horned Rhinoceros”, Kaziranga was declared a National Park in 1974 and UNESCO declared Kaziranga a World Heritage Site in 1985. The park hosts two thirds of the world population of Rhinos. On reaching, complete the check in formalities. Rest of the evening free at leisure. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

Early morning explore any one zone of Kaziranga National Park on back of Elephant. Apart from the Rhino, other species found are Hog Deer, Swamp Deer, Wild Buffalo, Elephants and if you are lucky then tiger also. It is also home to pelicans, storks and darters as there are a number of water bodies inside the Park. Return to the resort for breakfast. Mid-morning at leisure or visit Rubber Plantations. Post lunch, enjoy Jeep safari through the National Park. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Guwahati – Situated on the South Bank of river Brahmaputra this is the largest city of Assam, a major riverine port city and one of the fastest growing cities in India. Many ancient Hindu temples are in the city, giving it the name “City of Temples”
On reaching complete the check in formalities. Post lunch visit – Tea Garden / Estates. Assam State Museum (Closed on Monday): Located in the southern end of Dighalipukhuri tank which is in the heart of Guwahati city, Assam. The Museum was established by the Kamarupa Anusandhan Samiti in 1940. The late Kanaklal Barua was the founder and president. State Zoo cum Botanical Garden: Is the largest of its kind in the North East region and it is spread across 432 acres. The zoo is located within the Hengrabari Reserved Forest at Guwahati, India. Rest of the evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Guwahati.

Check out from the hotel after breakfast, before departure visit – Kamakhya Temple (Notes -Timing 08:00 A.M till 01:00 P.M & 3:00 P.M till 5:00 PM): The Kamakhya Temple at Nilachal hills in Guwahati, Assam is one of the oldest and most revered centres of Tantric practices, dedicated to the goddess Kamakhya.
The temple is the center of the Kulachara Tantra Marga and the site of the Ambubachi Mela, an annual festival that celebrates the menstruation of the goddess. Tirupati Balaji Temple: Hindu temple known for its South Indian–style architecture, imposing stone idols & parklike grounds. After darshan, proceed to the airport to board the journey for onward destination. End of Tour!
